I’m the youngest Indian Nobel Laureate and a self-made teen billionaire. I have started 3 NGO’s that work towards empowerment of women all over the world and in 2017, I made history by winning ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ at the age of 15. I have organised a talk between Hindu and Muslim leaders that was streamed on national televison and attended by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. This website is about a Mela I visited one weekend and how it changed my life.
At least that’s how I’d like my bio to read:)
In reality, I’m a 17-year-old student who stumbled upon mythological picture books as a toddler and never stopped flipping through those shiny pages. Whether it was the Mahabharata written and illustrated by Samhita Arni or the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan, I never seemed to get bored of hearing about myths and legends. In 2019, the Maha Kumbh Mela, held in Prayagraj opened pages of a book I had never come across before. While the city was only a short flight away, it seemed like another universe in itself.
This website is a deep dive into my experiences from waking up at 4am to take a holy dip in the freezing ganges to the car rides and the millions of faces and expressions I saw there.
As I write this, I can feel a chill run down my spine as I imagine the numerous journeys I am yet to embark upon but here’s one journey we can go on together.
